The Accelerated Data Program (ADP) provides technical and financial support to survey data documentation and dissemination, and improvement of survey methods. 
The IHSN does not have ownership and is not mandated to disseminate country microdata. But we maintain a central survey catalog, and provide links to national or international databanks. The ADP is now piloting its Task 2. This task envisions the analysis and assessment of existing data by specialized national and international researchers. The analysis focuses on sector development strategies with an objective to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the data.
A Toolkit training was held from Feb. 2-14 in Beirut Lebanon. The IHSN is a partnership of international organizations seeking to improve the availability, quality and use of survey data in developing countries. This informal network was established as a recommendation of the Marrakech Action Plan for Statistics.
The IHSN is served by a light Secretariat managed by the World Bank Development Data Group and the Paris21 Secretariat at OECD.
